Mona Destree Character Design
Character Description
Mona is a young woman with terracotta, warm brown skin and vibrant green eyes that almost glow. Her hair is a deep chocolatey brown, and she wears it in two buns on either side of her head. She wears a dress that fades from a soft pastel green to the vibrant green of her eyes, with purple trim and a transparent mesh at the top, matching the color of her heeled shoes. Resting on top of her head, in the matching purple sits a wrinkled witch’s hat that starts to fall over at the top.

Character Origins
Growing up in a world full of magical beings of various kinds, Mona’s childhood was full of wonder and exploration. After developing her powers at age 5, Mona started learning how to control her powers and use them to benefit the world around her. She found that her powers, glowing the vibrant green of her eyes, could heal sick plants and, as she got stronger, accelerate their growth.
Her powers fueled her curiosity for nature and led her to study as much as she could about botany and alchemical herbalism. She traveled the world to study plants from any place that she could access. For plants that she couldn’t find or access, she scoured libraries for as much information as she could find.
This connection to the natural world pulled Mona to find a place to live away from people, amongst the plants that she loved so dearly. On her hunt for a new place to call home, she came across an empty space in a swamp with a strong need for her healing in the area. This is where she built her home and each day she tends to the various plant life that grows in and around her home.
